The Good Edit Guide to Wedding Beauty Prep

Your wedding beauty prep shouldn't start the week of the wedding—and it definitely shouldn't involve trying every new treatment and product you can get your hands on.

The goal is simple: you, just glowing.

Whether you're a year out or a few months away, a little planning goes a long way. Here's our Good Edit timeline for healthy, happy skin, the perfect glow, and makeup that feels completely like you.

6–12 Months Out: Start With Your Skin

If glowing skin is on your wedding wish list, start early. This gives you and your esthetician time to get to know your skin, identify what it actually needs, and create a realistic plan.

Regular facials can help address concerns like dehydration, congestion, texture and dullness while keeping your skin barrier healthy along the way. Your at-home routine matters, too. This is a great time to make sure you're using products that support your skin rather than constantly switching things up.

And remember: consistency beats a last-minute overhaul every time.

2–4 Months Out: Book Your Makeup Trial

Your trial is about much more than choosing a lipstick.

It's our chance to talk through how you want to feel on your wedding day, look at inspiration, consider your dress, venue and overall aesthetic, and create a makeup look that still feels like you.

Bring photos of makeup you love—and even photos of yourself when you've felt especially beautiful. Sometimes those tell us more than a Pinterest board ever could.

1–2 Months Out: Trial Your Spray Tan

If you're planning on a wedding-day glow, please don't make your wedding week your first spray tan.

Schedule a trial ahead of time so we can find the depth and tone you love and you can see exactly how it develops on your skin.

Bonus points for scheduling your trial around a bridal shower, bachelorette weekend or another wedding event. ✨

1–2 Weeks Out: Your Final Facial

At this point, we're not trying to reinvent your skin.

Your final facial should be about hydration, calming, nourishing and glow. Skip aggressive new treatments and resist the temptation to suddenly overhaul your skincare routine.

This close to the wedding, happy skin is the goal.

Wedding Week: The Final Glow

If you've already trialed your spray tan and know you love the result, now it's time for the real thing.

We'll help you time your appointment so your color has time to fully develop and settle beautifully before the wedding.

Keep the rest of your routine simple: hydrate, moisturize, wear your SPF and do not start experimenting with new products.

Wedding Day: Let Us Take It From Here

You've done the prep. Now you get to enjoy it.

Beautiful bridal makeup starts with well-cared-for skin, but it shouldn't cover you up or transform you into someone else. Our approach is about enhancing what is already there and creating makeup that feels polished, photographs beautifully, lasts through the celebration and—most importantly—still feels like you.

Good skin. Good glow. Good makeup. Very good day.
